A Journey With A Purpose. . .

Hi Elizabeth I am reblogging this to show people the difficulties of living with Lymphedema. I also want to share your words of warning about the sun and checking your skin regularly. In Australia with our harsh climate this is a very real problem… Thanks for your honest account right down to the shower chair…

  1. Thank you for the repost as we both know it is important to share information. The first time I used the chair in the shower I was mortified, truly. I felt old and humiliated, but now, heck, not having to worry to much about swelling up like a balloon I can just take my time and well, it falls in line with being a bit spoiled, I can just lounge away. πŸ™‚ IF I was rich I would have the bathroom redone with a built-in lounge seat… ah dreams are a good thing. Laughter too helps with the days I cannot move.

Does it ever improve? Ever? Does the body ever figure it out?

    • I found the best thing for me is a pool as the water acts as a compression… Good exercise too when hot…. I think over the years you just learn what helps the most and you adapt like the chair… Everyone is so different in how there body reacts… And humour is a must!!! 😜😜😜
